One way our founder, Tracy Memoli likes to celebrate the changing of the seasons is decorating the bar cart and she’s sharing her favorite tips when styling her bar cart.
“Your bar cart can really become a focal point in your home, especially if you style it according to the seasons or a special holiday that you’re celebrating,” says Tracy Memoli, founder of FrutaPOP.
Show Off Your Personality
It’s great to really show off your personality and add your personal style to your bar cart. "For me, that means, starting off with our favorite frozen treat, alcohol infused ice pops by FrutaPOP and then building and decorating from there.
Style With Seasons + Special Occasions
I love to change the decor of the bar cart with the changing seasons. We start with the must-haves: boozy ice pops, ice bucket, great glassware, fresh flowers and then we build and design from there. For our birthday party bar cart, we went with fun, bold, vibrant colors and of course a birthday cake covered in sprinkles! The birthday cake is from our favorite bakery in NYC, Lucky Bird Cakes.
Statement Glassware + Accessories
This year, we discovered Nice Bücket, they make the most stylish ice buckets in a variety of different styles. We can now have a specialty ice bucket for every season. For summer, we chose this fun, bold, hot pink print to serve our boozy ice pops out of. We also chose to add a painting that tied in all the colors of the bar cart to really make it POP!
Fresh Flowers
Next, we added fresh flowers, we just picked up fresh flowers at our local market. We added our favorite: hydrangea. There's a lot of colors going on here, so we wanted a simple, elegant white flower. Depending on the size of your bar cart, add a bouquet of fresh flowers to the top and then weave a smaller bouquet to the bottom shelf, if there's room.
Add Books
If you have any extra room on your bar cart, it’s always a great idea to show off a couple books - this also adds a layering effect on the design of the bar cart. We included a couple travel books on Palm Beach.
Then, just add the rest of the bottles that you’re serving and your glassware and then you’re set to entertain a party of 1, 2 or more.
