Elevate your holiday entertaining with our festive bar cart inspiration

Our founder, Tracy Memoli shares her easy, go-to tips and decorating ideas when styling her home for Thanksgiving, starting with a festive bar cart!

“When entertaining during the holidays, you can get really creative when decorating a bar cart,” says Tracy Memoli, founder of FrutaPOP.  "I usually start with decorating the bar cart and then after feeling a sense of accomplishment, I can then tackle the rest of our home."

For Thanksgiving, we'll incorporate the warm colors of fall: orange, burgundy and gold and then we'll add a couple miniature pumpkins to really bring all of the fall colors, textures and Thanksgiving theme together. I really love keeping the design simple and rustic, incorporating a few real pumpkin arrangements throughout the house that also extends the decor of the bar cart and ties everything together.

Style With The Seasons and Holidays: I love to change the decor of the bar cart with the changing seasons. We start with our must-haves: boozy ice pops, ice bucket, great glassware, fresh flowers and then we build and design from there.

Statement Glassware + Accessories: We recently discovered Nice Bucket (they make the most stylish ice buckets in a variety of different styles). For Thanksgiving, we'll choose a gold marble ice bucket - it's a classic and elegant choice and doesn't overpower the other beautiful, bold colors of fall.

Add Wine & Spirits: In addition to serving our boozy ice pops, we’ll also add in additional wine and spirits to the cart. It’s also great to know what your friends and family like to drink, so you’re not overspending. For example, our crowd that we’re hosting sticks to wine, this makes it really simple and cuts down on the time spent on crafting mixed drinks. And if they change their mind and want a mixed drink, we have our boozy ice pops that you can open and pour into a glass and viola, a pre-made cocktail!

Fresh Flowers: Next, we'll add fresh flowers, we love shopping Farm Girl Flowers, we're always impressed with their stunning arrangements! Depending on the size of your bar cart, add a bouquet of fresh flowers to the top and then weave a smaller bouquet to the bottom shelf to really tie it all together.

Add Books: If you have any extra room on your bar cart, it’s always a great idea to show off a couple books - this also adds depth and a layering effect on the design of the bar cart. We had a couple great books on olive oil and champagne and it's a plus if the books go with your color palette!

Then, just add the rest of the bottles that you’re serving and your glassware and then you’re set to entertain this holiday season!
